T20 World Cup 2021
The magic of T20 World Cup 2021 has mesmerized everybody. Be it interpersonal communication, news channels or social media, everyone is discussing the matches between different teams participating in the T20 World Cup 2021. The Pakistani nation is probably enjoying this semifinal more as compared to the other nations owing to the remarkable performance of Pakistani team on the pitch.
However, as the days are proceeding, the entire world is looking to the teams that would be playing the semifinal. Let us have a quick review of the performance of various teams so far and their prospects of entering the next phase.
India: India still have to play against Namibia. India can ensure its position in the semifinal of T20 World Cup 2021 only if it beats Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia by above 50, above 100 and above 100 runs.
New Zealand: New Zealand get chance to play semifinal after beating Afghanistan. After winning against Afghanistan, India knocked out from Semifinal.
New Zealand’s victory against India can leave it with 8 points while Pakistan ends with 10 points. India shall be at 6 points. This score shall ensure entry of New Zealand to the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2021 along with Pakistan.
South Africa: South Africa has played 4 matches so far and remained victorious in 3 of them. The NRR of South Africa is 0.742 at the moment after the great win against Bangladesh. It has still one match left i.e. with England. South Africa can qualify for T20 World Cup 2021 semifinal if it scores 160 runs and beats England with 81 runs. In this situation, it will exceed the NRR of England and qualify for semifinals but it couldn’t possible because last day South Africa wins against England but due to the low Run rate South Africa is out from the tournament. Now Pakistan is only team left without any loose in this tournament.
Australia: Australia also qualifies for T20 World Cup 2021 semifinal.
The overall status of Teams:
From the Super 12 matches, four teams have already disqualified. The disqualified teams include West Indies, Sri Lanka (A1), Namibia (A2) and Bangladesh (B2) which clearly means that we would not be able to see them in the T20 World Cup 2021 semifinals.
England and Pakistan are the only two teams so far which have qualified for the semifinals.
