Pakistan Army Helicopter
Yesterday evening, on August 1, 2022 Pakistan Army Helicopter got missing and lost contact with the air traffic in Lasbella district. This happened because of bad weather condition and pre-monsoon in Pakistan. Six army personnel including senior officers and soldiers on board helicopter. And today, at 3:21 pm, DG ISPR confirmed the Shahadah of all six of them including Lt. General Sarfraz Ali. The lieutenant was an army commander of XII-corps in Quetta. After the search operation of 16-18 hours, the helicopter was found crashed in Musa Goth, Winder, Lasbella.
According to the information released by DG ISPR, besides lieutenant, other martyrs include: Brig Amjad Hanif, Brig Muhammad Khalid, Major Saeed Ahmed, Major Muhammad Talha Manan and Naik Mudassar Fayyaz. According to The News, Major Saeed Ahmed was pilot, and Major Muhammad Talha Manan was rendering the services of co-pilot.
The reason of Pakistan Army Helicopter crash is unpredictably bad weather. Monsoon hits earlier this year in Pakistan. It has clean sweep small towns and villages. Many casualties are reported on daily basis, but most often the media correspondents and politicians play blind and deaf in the hour of need. Not only this but due to poor urban planning urban flooding has occurred. As always politicians were busy in their own conflicts and Pak Army has been rescuing the flood victims. According to military media wing, the martyrs were there to rescue flood victims, but unfortunately they lost their lives in the process.
