PIA has Announced the Launch of an Air Safari Service

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to relaunch its scenic air safari flight from June 12, 2021 to promote tourism

On Tuesday, Pakistan International Airlines announced to relaunch its scenic air safari flights from June 12. The decision has been taken to promote tourism. Travelers would be able to relish panoramic views of K2 and other mighty snow peaks of Gilgit Baltistan including Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum peaks, and Deosai plains.

The service has been renamed “Sadpara Air Safari” in the honorable memory of Ali Sadpara who died tragically this year while climbing K2. To boost tourism in northern areas of Pakistan PIA has announced to resume its air safari service again. The journey has been planned to entertain travelers with picturesque mountains, lakes, and sceneries. Facts about the places and mountains will be narrated to the travelers to guide them and enlighten them.

According to reports, PIA management has planned to operate Air Safari flights once a week. The flights will fly over Kalam, Saif ul Malook Lake, Nanga Parbat, and K2 while land at Skardu. Rs. 25,000 has been fixed as a one-way fare for a one-hour flight.

Travelers will be offered complimentary high tea at Shangrila Hotel after their one-hour flight.

PIA management has completed all the required preparations to launch new services. Inaugurating flight will start on Saturday from Islamabad. The return flight will depart two hours after arriving at Skardu Airport. According to few sources, the same schedule will be followed every week.

The services had been suspended for two years due to operational issues. PIA has decided to promote tourism in the country in light of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision. In an official statement, PIA invited travelers to experience marvelous sights and sceneries.
