PSL Match | United We Win, Kings Lost

Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings even after setting a massive target in PSL match

On June 14, the 22nd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) was played between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United at Shaikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Karachi Kings set a massive target but still lost. Islamabad United won by eight wickets.

Karachi Kings set a target of 190 runs with four wickets down. Babar and Zardan showed a great partnership with Babar at 81 and Zardan at 71 not out. But in the 2nd inning, Karachi Kings started lagging in the game as the fielders started to miss field and lose catches while bowlers showed flustered behavior. On the other hand, Islamabad turned tables when Colin Munro and Ifthikhar Ahmed started batting. The pair finished the match unbeaten on 150 off 79 balls with eight balls still left.

Karachi needs to buckle up and make an effort to come back in the game as they have already lost 2 games one against Multan and the other against Islamabad. Karachi is going to face Peshawar on June 15, in the 24th match of PSL. To stay in-game and avoid elimination Karachi has to beat Zalmi.

In the 23rd match of PSL, Quetta is going to face Lahore. Being last on the points table, Quetta needs to kick in to get those points to come upon the table and avoid elimination.
